KING FARM SHUTTLE BUS – ROUTE CHANGES EXPECTED OCTOBER 1, 2025
The new map and schedule will be posted soon!

FROM THE KING FARM CONSERVANCY – As part of the budgeting process, The King Farm Conservancy reviews operational expenses and contracts. Through the review of the shuttle contract and the ridership numbers, the Conservancy Board revised the scope of the King Farm Shuttle service in order to optimize ridership experience and limit our environmental impact. Our goal is to keep the service as consistent as possible while improving overall efficiency and maintaining costs.

As part of this effort, effective October 1st, 2025, the Blue Line will be eliminated as it closely overlaps with the Orange Line. However, to ensure coverage, we will integrate additional stops into the Red Line to accommodate certain stops previously served by the Blue Line. The Orange Line will remain unchanged.

Please see attached the updated shuttle map and schedule reflecting the changes in service. We will also update the signage at the shuttle enclosures (where applicable). The Shuttle app will still be available to obtain real-time access to where the shuttles are on the route.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the King Farm Conservancy at conservancy@kingfarm.org. Residential members of King Farm Citizens Assembly can contact the KFCA Management Team at management@kingfarm.org or call 301-987-0122.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to roll out this change and continue to work to improve the ridership experience of those utilizing the King Farm shuttle.

Another King Farm amenity is the shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus service is available to King Farm residents (including tenants) and residents of the Huntington Apartments. The three shuttle busses have separate routes and provide a continuous-loop service on weekdays and there are bus stops located throughout the community.

King Farm Citizens Assembly does not contract or manage the shuttle service. KFCA Management Team will forward concerns to the appropriate entity. The shuttle bus is managed by the King Farm Conservancy and the current vendor providing shuttle service is Reston Limousine.
